From the classroom to the pit: this is how UAX talent is trained in professional motorsport.

At the Alfonso X el Sabio University (UAX) we promote training in top-level competition through real projects in which students learn how a competition engineer works. Our aim is to prepare future motor racing professionals to work in top-level motor racing and motorcycling teams.

Engineering put to the test on the track

Our partnership with the SeventyTwo Artbox Racing Team, led by Emilio Alzamora, enables students to experience engineering at its very best: from the laboratories to the pit, from theory to practice.

They take part in the design, simulation and manufacture of aerodynamic wings for Moto3 motorbikes, following the same processes used by teams in the JuniorGP and MotoGP World Championships.
From modelling using specialised software to validation in the wind tunnel, students experience what it takes to develop competition technology at the highest level.

A unique training experience in motor racing and motorcycling, where passion, engineering and innovation come together.

Students from various degree programmes at the UAX School of Engineering, Architecture and Design are taking part in this challenge, bringing a holistic perspective that combines creativity, precision and technology:

The collaboration between these disciplines reflects the essence of the UAX Makers educational model: learning by doing, working in real-world environments and developing the skills required by industry.

From the classroom to the pit: engineering in action

Thanks to this initiative, UAX students take part in an innovative project involving the design, simulation and manufacture of aerodynamic wings for Moto3 motorcycles.
This challenge enables them to apply what they have learnt in subjects such as aerodynamics, data analysis and advanced manufacturing, following the same processes used by professional MotoGP teams.

From data collection and modelling using specialised software, through to manufacturing and validation in a wind tunnel, the students enjoy a unique experience in technological development for motorsport.

Furthermore, they form part of the team at various events, such as the FIM JuniorGP, the European Talent Cup and Moto3, where they put their knowledge into practice in a real-world, high-pressure environment.

Formula Student UAX

Formula Student UAX is the university club where students design, build and race their own single-seater racing car.
A technical training experience in motorsport that combines mechanical engineering, electronics, industrial design and project management.

Students represent UAX in international competitions, applying their knowledge of CAD design, structural analysis and dynamic track testing.
Each prototype is the result of the effort, precision and collaboration of a team that learns to work like true racing engineers.
