All those interested in studying a Bachelor's Degree at UAX must take an entrance exam.
The tests have an approximate duration of one and a half hours and consist of the following:
Competence test: TCAP©- Test of Academic and Personal Competences. The candidate's competences are evaluated through standardised and scientifically endorsed psycho-technical and personality tests. The test lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Language test: English test for candidates with Spanish mother tongue and Spanish test for candidates with non-Spanish mother tongue. The estimated duration of the online test is 30 minutes.
In the following degrees the level of English required for admission is B1: Degree in Industrial Electronic and Automatic Engineering and Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
For the following degrees the level of English required for admission is B2: Degree in Biomedicine, Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Degree in Biotechnology and Degree in Business Intelligence, as well as the double degree.
Candidates with a non-Spanish mother tongue will be required to have a minimum level B1 of Spanish, regardless of the language level certificates they present.

He holds a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and a postgraduate qualification in Food Quality and Technology from the University of Granada, specialising in clinical and sports nutrition and academic management. He has a proven track record in clinical care at centres such as HM Hospitales and the Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital, as well as extensive clinical experience and expertise in managing postgraduate programmes, which he brings to university teaching to train future professionals using an approach based on scientific evidence and applied nutritional practice.
PhD candidate and holder of a Master’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Málaga, and a graduate in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, specialising in morphofunctional assessment, sarcopenia and clinical nutrition. She carries out her clinical and research work at the Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital (IBIMA) and at Quirónsalud Málaga Hospital, participating in clinical projects focused on body composition and muscle ultrasound; she brings her solid hospital experience, underpinned by scientific publications, to university teaching, where she trains students in individualised dietary and nutritional approaches and clinical evidence.
A graduate in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Granada and a university expert in Nutrition for Critically Ill Patients and Gastrointestinal Disorders, specialising in oncological nutrition and hospital care. She practises at Quirónsalud Málaga Hospital and in sports medicine, taking part in clinical research projects on morphofunctional assessment and post-surgical recovery; an experience underpinned by publications in journals such as *Clinical Nutrition* and *Nutrients*, which she applies to university teaching to train students in the dietary and therapeutic management of complex patients.
PhD in Biomedicine, Translational Research and New Health Technologies, awarded cum laude by the University of Málaga; a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the UAM; and a specialist in Medical Affairs and Pharmaceutical Marketing. With over 16 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and in R&D in clinical nutrition, she is currently CEO and Scientific Director of QoLife Medical; She has carried out outstanding research into morphofunctional assessment, sarcopenia and the development of medical foods, backed by top-tier (D1) publications and contributions to leading textbooks, which she applies to university teaching to provide training in clinical innovation, scientific transfer and advanced nutritional approaches.
She holds a degree in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Pharma MBA from ESAME, specialising in Medical Affairs, healthcare regulation and product innovation. She has over seven years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, having worked as a Medical Science Liaison at Amgen and previously in the development of food supplements and toxicology; she combines her solid corporate and technical communication experience with postgraduate teaching to bring a comprehensive perspective on medical issues, scientific communication and regulatory rigour to the classroom.
PhD in Chemistry (cum laude) from the University of Málaga and a Master’s degree in Electrochemistry from the UAM, specialising in analytical chemistry and instrumentation. With over a decade’s experience as a senior technician in mass spectrometry and chromatography (gas and liquid) laboratories, she has extensive expertise in advanced analytical methods and science communication, which she applies to university teaching to instil technical rigour and laboratory skills in her students.
PhD in Psychology, awarded cum laude by the University of Málaga, specialising in biostatistics and research methodology. He combines his role as an associate professor at the University of Málaga (UMA) with analytical consultancy and teaching on the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Alfonso X Mare Nostrum University, where he teaches biostatistics with a focus on developing critical thinking, data analysis applied to the health sciences, and the interpretation of scientific evidence in clinical practice.

Studying for two degrees at the same time is a challenge, and we want to support you. If you’re already at UAX and enrol on a second degree programme, you’ll receive a grant towards your booking fee and tuition fees.
If you’re a high-performance athlete, at UAX we want to help you balance your passion with your studies. We offer specific grants that can cover up to 50 per cent of your tuition fees.

The Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics lasts four academic years, which can be reduced to almost two years depending on the number of validations.
By studying nutrition and dietetics you will become a professional capable of improving people's quality of life through their diet. From a global approach, you will be prepared to address the improvement of sports performance, health, rest and disease states, from food and personalised nutrition.
Furthermore, once you have completed your degree in nutrition and dietetics, you will have a broad knowledge of the subject, which will allow you to specialise in the branch you like the most, either by taking a postgraduate course or by joining a job market where studying nutrition provides many opportunities and professional development.
By studying a degree in nutrition, you will combine in-depth knowledge of food, the rigorous application of nutritional science and the use of technology to optimise health and wellbeing.
You will study subjects such as: structure and function of the human body, biostatistics, biology, bromatology, dietetics, food technology, public health, culinary technology, clinical nutrition, sports nutrition, among others.
In addition, in the Faculty of Health Sciences at UAX we have reference facilities to carry out your studies such as the kitchen classroom, nutritional consultation and bioimpedance classroom located in our Virtual Hospital, where you can role-play client-nutritionist, food science and technology classroom where you will study both theoretically and practically. We also have numerous chemistry, chemical engineering, physiology and metabolism laboratories.
The Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics offers a range of career opportunities depending on the specialism in nutrition chosen. Graduates can work in various sectors such as healthcare, the food industry and research.

According to various sources consulted, such as Infoempleo and Glassdoor, the average salary of a nutritionist is between 1,500 and 3,000 euros gross per month, depending on the sector and the centre in which he or she works, and can reach up to 50,000 euros gross per year.
