Expert Diploma in the management of ulcers due to chronic venous insufficiency.

Between 75-80% of lower extremity ulcers have a venous component. Their multifactorial origin requires a holistic approach, combining adequate local wound care with an aetiological treatment based on compressive therapy. This postgraduate course trains health professionals in the holistic approach to venous ulcers. Registration open. Limited places.

What competences will you acquire?

  • Learn about the anatomy and physiology of the vascular system.
  • Study the pathophysiology of chronic venous insufficiency and the proper diagnosis of venous ulcers.
  • Learn about the different types of evidence-based compression therapy and their correct application.
  • Correctly monitor lesions with a venous component.
  • Promote patient adherence.
  • Evaluate the evidence and national and international clinical practice guidelines on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients with Chronic Venous Insufficiency and its complications.
  • To prevent the development of relapses.
