Get professional training in the design and coordination of projects that integrate music as a tool for social transformation in diverse educational and community contexts with the Master's Degree in Music for Development. With a multidisciplinary approach, it integrates knowledge in research, pedagogy, socio-musical intervention and leadership, with the aim of promoting social and cultural development through education and musical inclusion.

Title promoted by the UAX and the Acción por la Música foundation, in collaboration with Sinfonía por el Perú and Orquestra Geração. An innovative educational project inspired by the philosophy of Maestro Abreu, founder of "El Sistema", who in just 50 years has transformed the lives of millions of people around the world. A programme that brings together the main methodologies of socio-musical intervention, management and leadership, implemented in Latin America and Europe, aimed at combating the effects of poverty and social exclusion.
Aimed at university graduates and EEAASS graduates in the fields of music, education, social sciences or community intervention, the Master's Degree in Music for Development is designed to prepare you as a professional capable of leading projects that use music as a tool for social, educational and cultural transformation.
You will acquire specialised knowledge in:
You will study key subjects such as Sociology of Art and Culture, intervention in the Third Sector and inclusive strategies that use music to respond to major social challenges, address diversity and promote community development through collective musical practice.
We combine a solid theoretical base with external practices in real environments: educational centres, associations, NGOs and community projects. You will experience first-hand how music initiatives aimed at social change are designed, managed and evaluated.

In Latin America: Sinfonía por el Perú, Fundación SOIJAr, El Sistema Punta Cana, and of course El Sistema with more than 1 million beneficiaries in Venezuela. To all of them, programmes from the rest of the world will be added, so it is recommended to consult if there is a specific interest.
