TSAF stands for Higher National Diploma in Physical Conditioning, an official Higher Level Vocational Training qualification that you can study remotely over two years and which prepares you to work as a personal trainer, fitness coach, sports instructor or group exercise instructor.

Online dual vocational training:
In accordance with Organic Law 3/2022, a number of significant changes will be introduced to the vocational training system in Spain from the 2024–25 academic year onwards
This transition to the new vocational training regulations, known as ‘Dual’ (a standardised framework for the whole country, except for the order of modules and the teaching load set by each Autonomous Community) affects all first-year courses in any of their formats (face-to-face or online), except for the Higher Vocational Training Course in Dietetics, which remains under the LOGSE training plan, predating the current LOE*
The Work-Based Training (FFE) forms part of the Higher Technical Diploma in Physical Conditioning and will enable you to apply the knowledge acquired during the course in real professional settings linked to sport, fitness and physical activity.
Thanks to UAX’s network of partners, you will be able to undertake this training experience at sports organisations, gyms and specialist centres, broadening your exposure to the professional reality of the sector. UAX has partnerships with leading organisations such as the Rafa Nadal Academy, LaLiga and VIVAGYM, amongst other partner organisations, subject to availability and the student’s profile.

The Advanced Physical Conditioning Technician (TSAF) qualification is specifically aimed at people interested in sport, physical activity, health and training. It is a suitable option for those who wish to pursue a career as a personal trainer, fitness coach, sports instructor or fitness professional.
To enrol on the Higher-Level Vocational Training Course in Physical Fitness, you must meet one of the entry requirements set for higher-level vocational training courses, such as holding a Baccalaureate qualification, a Vocational Training Certificate or an equivalent qualification recognised under current regulations.
TSAF focuses on training, physical conditioning and career opportunities in the fitness sector, whilst TSEAS is geared towards teaching and leading physical and sporting activities. If your aim is to work as a personal trainer or fitness coach, TSAF is the qualification best suited to that professional profile.
The former TAFAD (Higher Technical Qualification in Physical and Sports Activities) has been replaced by the current courses within the Physical and Sports Activities vocational training family. If you are interested in coaching, fitness and physical training, the qualification most relevant to you at present is the TSAF.
