First year

The first full year comprises 60 ECTS credits, spread over two semesters, each comprising five modules. This first year is designed to lay the solid foundation upon which all your future knowledge will be built: it is the time to learn the ‘alphabet’ of business, gaining a fundamental understanding of the organisation, its economic environment and management tools.

Financial Accounting

This is one of the core modules that will introduce you to the universal language of business. You will learn how to record a company’s financial transactions, prepare key financial statements, and interpret how these reflect the company’s financial health. 

Ecosystem and Digital Transformation

From day one, this module immerses you in the concepts of digital transformation , new business models and how digital tools are redefining business strategies. 

Fundamentals of Economics

Here you will discover the basic principles governing markets, supply, demand and the decisions of economic agents. This foundation will enable you to understand the economic context in which all businesses operate and to make more informed strategic decisions.

Business Communication Skills

This module focuses on developing your ability to express yourself clearly, persuasively and professionally, both orally and in writing. 

Business Organisation and Management

This is the gateway to understanding the inner workings of a business. You will analyse the different ways of structuring an organisation, the roles of each department and the role of the entrepreneur in economic theory and business culture.

Macroeconomics

You will understand how the global environment directly impacts the decisions of your future business. You will analyse the key variables affecting a country’s economy, such as GDP, inflation, unemployment, and monetary and fiscal policies. 

Business Mathematics

This module will provide you with the quantitative tools needed for decision-making in a business context. You will strengthen your knowledge of calculus and algebra by applying them to real-world problems involving profit maximisation, cost minimisation and the analysis of economic functions.

Fundamentals of Business Intelligence

Business Business Intelligence (BI) involves transforming data into useful information for decision-making. In this introduction, you will discover how businesses use technological tools to analyse large volumes of data about their customers, operations and the market.

Fundamentals of Law

Business activity is governed by a legal framework that it is essential to understand. This module will provide you with a solid grounding in the legal system, the different types of law, and the rights and obligations of individuals and businesses. 

Applied Computing

This module focuses on the use of specific software for business management. You will work with spreadsheets at an advanced level to carry out data analysis and projections, and you will become familiar with database management systems. 

Second year

The second year focuses on the functional areas that drive a business, from finance to marketing. To explore this subject matter in depth, the course is again organised into two terms of five modules each, totalling the corresponding 60 ECTS credits. The aim is for you to build on the foundations already laid to develop a sophisticated, analytical understanding of business and its operations.

Corporate and Cost Accounting

This module takes your accounting training a step further. You will learn about the accounting, tax and legal processes relating to company dissolutions, mergers, liquidations and wound-ups. At the same time, you will explore different types of companies and cost allocation models in greater depth.

Financial Mathematics

This is an absolutely essential subject for understanding and working in the field of finance and investment. You will study concepts such as valuation, financial laws and financial analysis.

Microeconomics

In this module, you will understand the logic behind commercial and production strategies, focusing on the behaviour of individual economic agents: consumers and businesses. You will analyse in depth how they make decisions, how they interact in different types of markets and how prices are formed.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

In CSR, you will study how businesses integrate social and ethical concerns into their strategy, manage their reputation and engage with their stakeholders (employees, customers, the community).

Fundamentals of Marketing

You will discover the process by which firms identify consumers’ needs and create products or services to meet them. You will learn to assess the market and the competition, and to apply segmentation techniques to design effective strategies. 

Spanish and Global Economy

This module will provide you with a practical and up-to-date overview of the environment in which you will compete professionally. You will analyse Spain’s economic structure and its position within the European Union and the wider world, studying its main sectors, challenges and opportunities.

Business Statistics

One of the most sought-after skills in the era of Big Data is learning to describe data sets, calculate probabilities and make statistical inferences in order to make decisions with a lower degree of risk.

Investment and Financing

You will learn to understand the financial structure of companies, analyse and apply internal and external financing strategies, and evaluate methods of valuation and investor selection.

Management Skills

In this module, you will work on developing key skills for managing people and teams, such as negotiation, conflict management, motivation and decision-making under pressure.

Business English

This module goes beyond general English and focuses on the vocabulary, expressions and communication situations specific to the professional environment. You will improve your fluency so that you can take part in meetings, negotiate agreements and draft emails and presentations in English.

Third year

In the third year, the course load remains at 60 ECTS credits, but the structure evolves to give you a greater say in your studies. The year is divided into two semesters, during which you will take a total of nine compulsory modules and one optional module of your choice, worth 6 ECTS credits, to begin shaping your specialisation.

This structure has a clear purpose: with a solid foundation already in place across the functional areas, it is time for you to broaden your perspective and start thinking like a manager, combining a global view of the business with tactical execution and preparing yourself for leadership.

Business Law

This module explores the legal framework governing business. Building on the fundamentals of civil law, you will study applied areas such as contracts, procedures in the event of a business crisis, and all matters relating to employment relations and social security.

Sales Management

Here you will learn to design and implement a company’s sales strategy, a fundamental pillar of its success. The syllabus ranges from the analysis of the value chain for products and services and strategies for positioning new products, to the management of customer relations.

Strategic Management

You will study methodologies and analytical models such as SWOT analysis or the PIMS method to assess a company’s position within its competitive environment. Building on this, you will learn how to formulate the company’s mission, vision and values, and to design long-term strategic plans to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.

Human Resources Management

This module covers the entire employee lifecycle: from recruitment and selection techniques, through the design of training and development plans, to performance appraisal and the creation of remuneration and benefits policies. You will acquire the tools to attract, motivate and retain talent.

Econometrics

In this module, you will learn to build regression models to predict variables, test economic hypotheses and understand the actual impact of one variable on another in economic policy.

Financial Statement Analysis

This module focuses on assessing a company’s financial health through its financial statements. You will learn to calculate and interpret a wide range of ratios (liquidity, solvency and profitability) to evaluate a company’s performance, efficiency and risk.

International Trade

In a globalised world, this subject is essential for managing import and export operations. You will study the logistics of international transport, customs procedures, international payment methods (such as documentary credits) and international sales contracts (Incoterms). 

Corporate Taxation

This module immerses you in the complex world of taxation affecting businesses. You will analyse the main taxes in depth, learning how to calculate them and understand how they impact investment and financing decisions. You will also be introduced to the principles of tax planning to optimise a company’s tax burden within the law.

Operations and Innovation Management

In this module, you will learn to understand the role of innovation in business competitiveness and acquire the tools to manage it effectively within an organisation.

Fourth year

The fourth and final year is designed to serve as your bridge to the professional world, with its 60 ECTS divided into two key, sequential stages. During the first half of the year, you will focus on consolidating your academic profile, taking the four compulsory modules (24 ECTS) to strengthen your managerial perspective and the significant block of optional modules (18 ECTS) to define your specialisation. 

Once you have completed this part of the programme, the second half of the year marks the definitive leap into the business world: you will undertake your work placement and Final Year Project (18 ECTS), a total immersion that will allow you to apply all your knowledge and act as a professional even before you graduate.

Management Control Systems

You will learn to create and manage the systems that enable management to ensure resources are being used efficiently to achieve strategic objectives. You will study in depth budget control, management control, cash flow control and financial control.

Corporate Financial Management

This module integrates the company’s overall strategy with its long-term financial policy, addressing topics such as the valuation of equity and fixed-income securities, and the risk associated with investment projects.

Management Information Systems

In the digital age, effective information management is crucial. In this module, you will study how large-scale information systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), support business operations and strategy. 

Marketing Research

This module provides you with the tools to research your market systematically and professionally, from designing surveys and organising focus groups to the statistical analysis of the data obtained, in order to identify opportunities, understand consumer behaviour and make well-founded marketing decisions.

External Academic Placements (Internships)

Through compulsory work placements, you will have the opportunity to apply all the theoretical knowledge you have acquired over almost four years in a real business environment. This experience will not only enable you to develop your professional skills and your network of contacts, but often serves as a gateway to your first job contract.

Final Year Project (FYP)

The Final Year Project (TFG) is the culmination of your academic journey. It consists of a research project or a business plan in which you must demonstrate your analytical skills, methodological rigour and mastery of a specific area of business administration. It is your opportunity to delve deeper into a subject you are passionate about and demonstrate all the skills you have acquired.
