On Monday, the Alfonso X el Sabio University Centre in Asturias opened a new information and support centre for students, prospective students and their families. Located at 10 Calle Campoamor, right in the heart of Oviedo, it aims to provide personalised support and become a key point of reference where those interested can find out first-hand about the university’s educational programmes in the Principality.
This new centre will be open from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 am to 6.30 pm, to offer guidance to all interested parties on academic programmes and admission procedures, as well as to provide information on the benefits of being part of the UAX community.
The Alfonso X el Sabio Asturias University Centre is scheduled to commence its academic activities in the 2026/27 academic year with degree programmes in Medicine and Nursing. The new centre, affiliated with Alfonso X el Sabio University (UAX) – an institution with over 30 years’ experience in higher education – will have a significant impact on the city of Oviedo and the whole of Asturias, with an estimated total investment of 40 million euros and the creation of around 250 direct jobs, whilst also strengthening and meeting the high demand for healthcare training in the Principality and throughout northern Spain.
