The UAX Rafa Nadal University College, the first educational institution to be awarded the Seven Stars of Sport Award
At Alfonso X el Sabio University, we are delighted to announce that our UAX Rafa Nadal University College has been awarded the prestigious Seven Stars of Sport Award in the ‘Values’ category. We have thus become the first university institution to win this important award, a milestone that marks our journey and demonstrates the success of our commitment to a holistic and transformative education.
We have developed this unique project in collaboration with Rafa Nadal and his team at the Rafa Nadal Academy, combining his working philosophy with our educational ethos. In every classroom at UAX, we are committed to a model based on academic excellence, innovation, practical learning and a direct and ongoing connection with the professional world.
We accompanied our ambassador as he received this award at the Real Casa de Correos in Madrid, on behalf of the entire UAX community. We see this honour as an endorsement of our approach to teaching, where values transcend the sporting sphere to become essential skills fundamental to our students’ personal and professional development.
We fully share Rafa’s vision when he highlights that we currently train more than two thousand undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of health, sports performance and sports management. For UAX, every person who walks across our campuses represents a story, a vocation and a promising future, and we know that we must uphold our principles in the face of any challenge.
We also welcome the fact that the jury recognises our mission to shape the professionals who are leading the transformation of the sports and health industries. At UAX, we instil in our community the non-negotiable need to apply perseverance, humility, respect, responsibility, teamwork and a tireless drive to excel in every goal they set themselves.
We reinforce this learning through practical experiences, the analysis of real-life case studies, masterclasses and close contact with leading figures in the sector. We are launching our new academic year with this great honour and with the active participation of Rafa Nadal, who is sharing his life lessons with the new students joining UAX. We are moving forward together with the clear aim of training outstanding professionals, demonstrating to the world that knowledge and values are the most powerful tools for making a positive impact on society.
