Thanks to the combination of face-to-face and online classes, you will be able to study the double degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences + Human Nutrition and Dietetics in a way that is fully compatible with your personal or professional life.

  • Face-to-face classes of CAFYD at our campus in Villanueva de la Cañada, from Monday to Thursday mornings (until full capacity is reached).
  • Live online Nutrition classes in the afternoon (15:30 to 21:30 h), which are also recorded. Attendance is not compulsory.

This format allows you to:

  • Enjoy more free afternoons and weekends.
  • Avoid marathon days on campus.

Methodology and laboratories

We created this innovative programme in response to the growing needs of society, where there is an increasing demand for professionals with training oriented towards sport and health.
We structure the double degree as follows:

  • The first four years you will study the Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, complemented by three or four subjects in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • In the last year, we will focus on the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.

You will receive basic training where you will obtain all the general knowledge of subjects related to sport and its relationship with the human body. In addition, you will attend more specific training courses that respond to the demands of the profession, such as sports management, IT, research and legislation.

For the practical-clinical training, you will take part in on-site nutrition laboratories in innovative facilities where you can put your knowledge to the test to become a nutrition professional capable of improving people's quality of life through professional nutritional management based on personalised nutrition, the future of the profession:

Stress test and functional assessment included

Only UAX includes in your entrance exams to this university degree the compulsory stress test + full functional assessment report.

As you know, one of the requirements to access the degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at any private university is to present the results of a stress test signed by a doctor. Normally this certificate can be obtained in specialised centres, but at UAX we save you this procedure, providing you with an exhaustive functional assessment report made up of the following:

  • Stress test (ergometry)
  • ECG assessment (which you will later use as a learning tool during your degree)
  • Assessment of respiratory gas exchange
  • Assessment of your aerobic capacity
  • Assessment according to training zone

    Coordinator of the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. European PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid and Degree in Chemical Sciences, industrial speciality, from the UCM. Accredited by the ACAP, in the position of Assistant Professor Doctor. Thesis carried out at the Instituto Nacional de Investigación Agraria y Alimentaria (INIA).     Research professional in Biomedical Sciences within the Pharmaceutical Industry with more than 25 years of experience in the field. Experienced in all stages of the Drug Discovery process through to Clinical Development. Involved in Local Business Operations managing the IT software applications that support these activities. These include registration of new drugs with health authorities, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for drug promotion and Business Intelligence tools applied to sales analysis. Specialist in the Pharmaceutical Research Process with a vision of the product going to market that includes technical knowledge, as well as the assembly and management of teams to cover all activities. What do you need to study Physical Activity and Nutrition Sciences?

To study the Double Degree in CAFYD + Nutrition at UAX you can do it through the following access routes:

  • Baccalaureate student, with EVAU passed.
  • Test over 25 years old or CFGS.

In addition, it is necessary to take a compulsory stress test signed by a doctor.

At UAX we save you this effort test procedure, providing you with an exhaustive functional assessment report made up of:

  • ECG assessment (which you will later use as a learning tool during your degree)

What do I study in Double Degree in Physical Activity Sciences + Nutrition?

By studying the double degree in CAFYD + Human Nutrition and Dietetics you will obtain specialised training in the field of sports training, nutrition, sports performance and health.

Through a practical approach (60% of the degree) that will allow you to acquire the necessary skills for your professional development. You will have access to special facilities such as: Biological Laboratories, histology and pathological anatomy laboratories, physiology and metabolism laboratories, UAX Fitness Center with Motricity and Anatomy Room.

The double degree in Physical Activity and Nutrition Sciences at UAX is structured as follows:

  • The first four years you will study the Degree in CAFYD and you will complement them with 3/4 subjects of the Degree in Human Nutrition.
  • In the last year, you will focus on the Degree in Nutrition.

In this way you will be able to implement the knowledge acquired about the human body and sports performance to Human Nutrition. As a result, you will become a professional profile expert in promoting health and sports planning by adding knowledge in diets and nutrition, all this from a 360º approach.
