Industrial design is a discipline that combines technique with creativity and focuses on the creation and development of products that will be mass-produced. It consists of combining aesthetic, functional and ergonomic aspects to create objects that are useful and attractive to users.
Product development is the complete process of taking an idea from conception to market launch. This process includes several stages, such as market research, conceptual design, prototyping, testing and production. The goal is to create products that meet market needs and are technically and economically feasible.
The UAX Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development is a degree that combines knowledge of design, engineering and project management. Throughout this degree, skills are developed in areas such as:

You can access the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering by fulfilling one of the following options: having passed the university entrance exams (EVAU), vocational training, foreign students with recognised studies, entrance exams for over 25s, university degree, university master's degree, doctorate.

Specific equipment for the degree
At present, and given that the degree in Technical Engineering in Industrial Design is already taught at the University, the material resources necessary to teach the proposed degree in the current conditions are adequate. These means can be detailed as follows:
a) Spaces
94 teaching classrooms for a maximum of 50 students, of which 6 classrooms will be assigned for the morning shift and 6 classrooms for the afternoon shift, specifically for this degree course; with the equipment of blackboard, overhead projector, white screen and 50% of the classrooms of the University with computer and projector. There are also 5 audiovisual classrooms, where in addition to the projector there is a television, CD and DVD player, amplifiers, sound system, etc.
b) Virtual computer classrooms
There is a Virtual Computer Laboratory that allows access to the user profile for students of Industrial Design Engineering. It has a wide range of software programmes applicable to their training related to CAD-CAM-CAE (programme developed to provide support from design conception -CAD-, to production -CAM- and analysis -CAE- of products), software for modelling, animation, rendering and 3D effects, software for environmental evaluation, simulators for waste minimisation techniques, updated software for documentation in environmental management systems, and emergency plans, etc. There is an annual software update plan that allows the equipment to be sufficiently up to date.
