You can access this Higher Level Training Cycle if:

• You are 18 years old or you turn 18 in the year in which the training course begins.
• You are over 16 years old and you are registered as a worker, you are a high-level sportsperson or you have an illness, physical difficulty or dependence that prevents you from attending the training cycle in person.

In addition, you must have at least one of the following academic qualifications:

• Baccalaureate (LOE or LOGSE).
• Specialist Technician or Higher Vocational Training Technician Degree.

The prosthetic audiologist assesses the hearing ability of patients by means of specific tests such as audiometries, selects and fits customised hearing aids and monitors their correct functioning. In addition, the audiologist makes customised ear moulds and hearing protectors, advises on the use and maintenance of the devices and participates in the prevention of hearing problems.

• Counselling and monitoring of patients in the use of devices.

Access to the training cycle requires one of the following:

• Baccalaureate or equivalent.
• Technical or Higher Vocational Training Technician qualification.
• Having passed the entrance exam to Higher Level Training Cycles or the exam for the over 25s.
• Pass the entrance exams.

No previous experience is required, but it is advisable to have an interest in health, technology and people care.
