Improve your endodontic problem-solving skills with flexible, clinically-oriented and evidence-based training
An online programme designed for dentists who wish to apply advanced protocols in their daily practice, reduce the number of referrals and increase the predictability and profitability of their treatments.
The Advanced Comprehensive Endodontics Specialist programme is designed to enable you to gain an in-depth understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of the dentine-pulp complex and periapical pathology, using an evidence-based clinical approach.
Throughout the programme, you will develop the ability to diagnose, plan and carry out endodontic treatments with greater confidence and clinical judgement, applying current protocols and advanced techniques.
You will cover all phases of treatment: from pathophysiology and diagnosis, through to instrumentation, disinfection, obturation, restoration and endodontic surgery.
The programme focuses on enabling you to apply what you have learnt from day one in your practice, improving the quality of your treatments and reducing the need to refer cases.
A key distinguishing feature of the programme is its inclusion of pre-clinical training using virtual reality, which allows you to practise techniques and procedures in simulated, safe and reproducible environments before applying them to patients.
Furthermore, virtual reality headsets are included in the programme, enabling you to practise from home and continuously refine your skills.
This approach enables you to improve your technical precision, practise decision-making and accelerate your learning curve in a controlled environment.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to round off your training with an optional practical placement in a clinical setting, where you can apply what you have learnt in a real-world healthcare environment.
Throughout the programme, you will develop the skills needed to carry out endodontic treatments with greater confidence, precision and predictability in your clinical practice.
You will learn how to interpret clinical and radiological tests, including CBCT, in order to accurately identify pulp and periapical pathologies.
You will master the current protocols for mechanical instrumentation, shaping and obturation of the root canal system.
You will devise advanced strategies to improve the thoroughness and effectiveness of treatments.
You will learn how to resolve endodontic failures, manage complications and tackle more challenging cases.
You will optimise the coronal seal and the long-term prognosis of the treated tooth.
You will receive training in techniques such as apicoectomies, reimplantations and autografts.
You will develop sound clinical judgement based on scientific evidence, enabling you to choose the best option in each case.

In addition, the programme includes masterclasses with leading professionals, aimed at keeping students up to date with advanced techniques and the resolution of complex cases.
This approach enables students to apply the knowledge they have acquired to clinical practice from the outset, promoting progressive and practical learning.
The assessment system is continuous and progressive, designed to evaluate the acquisition of knowledge and skills throughout the programme.
Each module has its own assessment system, which allows students to progress in a structured manner without having to be assessed again on content they have already covered.
Assessment combines various methods:
The programme culminates in a Final Programme Project, which integrates the knowledge and skills acquired.

As a complement to the programme, you will have access to a two-week intensive training course (6 ECTS) focused on the direct application of knowledge in a real-world clinical care setting.
This micro-credential enables you to consolidate what you have learnt through an immersive experience, participating in the diagnosis and treatment of real cases under specialist supervision.
The training takes place at the UAX Dental Clinics, which handle a high volume of patients, where you will work with patients and encounter real clinical situations from day one.
During the clinical placement:
Furthermore, you will work with advanced technology and digital environments, including CBCT, magnification, motorised instrumentation and digital workflows.
