On 24 June, Venezuela was hit by an earthquake that affected thousands of people. The Office of Volunteering and Development Cooperation is launching the “UAX Venezuela Emergency” initiative, in collaboration with the Red Cross and Médicos del Mundo, to support those affected.
Behind this initiative are members of our community who have decided to step forward.
We invite you to watch the message prepared by several UAX volunteers and find out how you can be part of this collective response.
How can you help?
You can help in two ways: by supporting the emergency response or by taking part in the reconstruction effort.
1. Support the emergency relief effort
The crowdfunding campaign will initially run until December.
Red Cross: humanitarian aid and basic necessities.
Médicos del Mundo: healthcare and psychosocial support.
2. Get involved in the reconstruction
As a university, we can also contribute our knowledge, talent or ideas to future projects in the areas of Emergencies and the Environment.
Choose how you’d like to get involved. Your help can make a difference.
