Alfonso X el Sabio University is expanding its collaboration with the business community through a new agreement with HPE, aimed at students on Advanced Online Vocational Training Programmes in Multi-platform Application Development, Web Application Development and Networked Computer Systems Administration.
This partnership aims to introduce students on these courses to the realities of the technology sector, facilitate contact with practising professionals and support access to training tailored to the current needs of businesses.
Technology training linked to the business world
Digital transformation is changing the processes, tools and skill sets required by organisations. Fields such as software development, systems administration, network management and the protection of technology infrastructure require professionals with a solid technical foundation and the ability to adapt to constantly evolving environments. In this context, the collaboration between UAX and HPE reinforces an educational model in which academic training is complemented by the knowledge and experience of leading companies in the sector.
The agreement is aimed at students on three Higher-Level Vocational Training (FP) courses delivered online:

What does the agreement between UAX and HPE involve?
The partnership includes various initiatives aimed at enriching the learning experience and fostering a more direct understanding of the professional technology sector.
Masterclass delivered by HPE professionals
Students will have access to a masterclass delivered by HPE professionals, focusing on the main challenges currently facing the technology sector.
This session will complement the course content by offering the perspective of those working in the sector, providing insight into how technology projects evolve and helping students understand which skills are valued in professional teams.
Networking event at HPE’s premises
The agreement also includes an exclusive networking event, with both in-person and online participation from HPE’s premises. During this event, students will be able to gain first-hand insight into various career opportunities and explore some of the most sought-after career paths in the technology sector. Interaction with professionals and organisations in the sector provides a better understanding of how the knowledge acquired during vocational training is applied and what roles can be undertaken in areas such as systems, networks, programming, web development or digital infrastructure management.
Ten HPE grants for new students
HPE will award 10 study grants to new students enrolled on the online courses in Multi-platform Application Development, Web Application Development and Networked Computer Systems Administration.
Each grant will cover 50 per cent of the tuition fees for the first year. It does not include costs such as place reservation fees, admission fees, degree-related administrative charges or any other expenses not expressly mentioned in the call for applications. The application period will run from 1 August to 11 September 2026. To apply, candidates must meet the programme’s entry requirements, have been admitted to UAX FP and have paid the place reservation fee. This grant cannot be combined with other special discounts or grants.
Applications will be assessed on the basis of academic and professional profile, additional training, participation in extracurricular activities, potential impact and the letter of motivation. The results will be published on the UAX scholarships and grants page from 15 September 2026.

Three courses providing access to different areas of technology
Although DAM, DAW and ASIR belong to the Computer Science and Communications vocational family, each course focuses on different areas.
Multiplatform Application Development
DAM focuses on the design, programming, implementation and maintenance of applications for different devices and systems. During the course, students study topics related to programming, databases, development environments and data access.
This course is particularly suited to careers in software development, mobile applications and multi-platform solutions.
Web Application Development
Web Application Development (WAD) is geared towards the creation and maintenance of web applications and services. Its curriculum covers client-side and server-side development, databases, interface design and application deployment. This training provides an introduction to roles related to front-end, back-end and full-stack development, as well as the technical management of web projects.
Networked IT Systems Administration
ASIR prepares students to configure, administer and maintain IT systems, servers, networks and services. It also incorporates knowledge relating to databases, security, high availability and network services. Those who complete this qualification can pursue careers in systems administration, technical support, network management or technology infrastructure.
The value of studying an online vocational training course in the technology sector
The online format allows you to organise your studies with greater flexibility and balance your training with other responsibilities. However, studying remotely does not mean doing so in isolation.
