Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
D. in Veterinary Medicine and a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), the dean has a solid international background in large animals, specialising in equine medicine at Auburn University (USA), where she also completed a master's degree and was recognised as Best International Student.
Since 2007 she has been part of UAX, where she has led clinical, teaching and research areas. She takes over the Dean's Office in 2021, successfully promoting the European EAEVE accreditation, the national verification of the Veterinary Degree and the ISO 9000 certification.

Innovation and Research
During the year 2024, the PDI of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine presented or developed 33 proposals in the global calls for proposals, 19 of which were approved, which means that an average of 57.95% of the activities promoted by its staff have been funded.
Periodically, the faculty holds meetings with different interest groups (students, graduates, employers, those responsible for the degrees and administration and services staff). In this way they share and report on the main challenges to be addressed, the results achieved and the main improvement actions implemented.
