The Faculty of Business & Tech’s main research facility in the field of quantum technologies is the Quantum Devices and Technologies Laboratory, designed in 2025 as a strategic scientific facility aimed at fostering world-class research into quantum devices and sensors, two-dimensional materials and quantum computing.
The laboratory covers 20m² and serves as a leading centre for the design, fabrication and characterisation of new quantum architectures, driving interdisciplinary research in physics, engineering, materials science and information technology. This approach fosters integration between fundamental and applied research, promoting the transfer of knowledge to sectors with high technological impact such as quantum computing, secure communications, advanced sensor technology and next-generation electronics.
