The programme covers both the fundamentals of sports analytics and some of its most relevant applications in areas such as player and team performance, scouting and the fan experience.

Upon completion of the micro-credential, you will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamental principles of data analytics applied to sport.
  • Identify the main data sources used in sports organisations.
  • Analyse and interpret sports performance indicators.
  • Use basic data analysis and visualisation tools.
  • Create dashboards and reports designed to support decision-making.
  • Carry out comparisons of players and teams using quantitative metrics.
  • Understand the role of analytics in areas such as scouting, sports management and fan engagement.
