The aim of the Specialist Degree is to provide you with specialised training as a healthcare professional in the field of Clinical Nutrition. Specifically, you will deal with the concept of malnutrition and malnutrition related to disease in different clinical contexts. During the course, you will be able to update and deepen your knowledge in the early detection of disease-related malnutrition, as well as in the establishment of nutritional treatments adapted to the needs of each patient.
The Specialist Degree in Addressing Disease-Related Malnutrition for Paediatricians is a qualification designed in collaboration with Abbott Laboratories and healthcare professionals from the best healthcare centres. Quality training at your own pace thanks to an innovative methodology.
The teaching programme is structured in 6 modules of 5 ECTS.
The Specialist programme is designed so that you can take each module independently.
To obtain the title of Specialist you must enrol in all the modules to complete 30 ECTS. You can enrol only in the modules that interest you and you can obtain the title of expert if you pass 15 credits, being compulsory to pass module 1 (Clinical nutrition and dietetics).

She has been working as a paediatric gastroenterologist at the Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena in Seville for more than 10 years, specialising in the field of child nutrition. She currently leads this healthcare activity at the hospital, complementing it with her teaching activity. She is a full member of the SEGHNP and of the Spanish Working Group on Child Nutrition (GETNI), having participated to date in the execution of numerous studies and research projects related to nutrition. She is also the author of more than 20 publications in national and international books and scientific journals.

Doctor in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and specialist in Paediatrics. She currently works as an assistant in the Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Section of the Hospital Infantil Universitario Niño Jesús.
Very dynamic, with very well-structured content, to allow for not excessively long periods of time, a scarce commodity in the life of health professionals. In addition to the text content, there is also multimedia material in the form of webinars, master classes on important topics, practical exercises with clinical and real micro-cases, etc., which add to the richness of the training.
This is one of the factors, together with the practical nature and the teaching based on the resolution of real problems, thanks to which the information is assimilated in a simple and effective way. Depending on the needs of each module, you will find many academic resources, as well as audiovisual content, videos, webinars, recorded MasterClasses, etc...

What is our methodology?
Qualification compatible with your professional activity. You will have the possibility of enrolling in each of the modules independently.
The possibility of taking more than one module, being necessary to have successfully completed the module previously taken. It is not allowed to take more than one module at the same time.
Legal requirements for access
The studies of the Specialist Degree in Management of Malnutrition related to illness in paediatrics can be accessed by fulfilling the following requirements:
The deadlines for enrolment are from September 2025 to March 2026.
Enrolment after the indicated months is not permitted, taking into account the estimated time needed to complete the programmes.
How long do I have to take each programme?
Once you have registered and enrolled, you will receive an email with the passwords to access the platform and you will have until June 2026 to complete the training. After this time, access to the virtual campus will be cancelled and you will not be able to access the resources and contents of the programmes.
In this sense, it is important that you plan accordingly in order to complete the training in due time and form, not being allowed the temporary extension, beyond the time indicated.
