The aim of the Master's degree is to provide you with specialised training as a healthcare professional in the field of Clinical Nutrition. Specifically, it will cover the concept of malnutrition and disease-related malnutrition in different clinical contexts. During the course, you will be able to update and deepen your knowledge in the early detection of disease-related malnutrition, as well as in the establishment of nutritional treatments adapted to the needs of each patient.
The Master's Degree in Addressing Disease-Related Malnutrition is a qualification designed in collaboration with Abbott Laboratories and healthcare professionals from the best healthcare centres. Quality training at your own pace thanks to an innovative methodology.
The teaching programme is structured in 12 modules with 4-6 sections each. The first 6 modules are transversal modules (3 ECTS) and are subdivided into 3 basic modules and 3 advanced modules. The last 6 modules are specific or by pathology (6 ECTS).

Very dynamic, with very well-structured contents, executive summary of the contents to allow for not excessively long periods of time, a scarce commodity in the life of health professionals. In addition to the text content, there is also multimedia material in the form of webinars, master classes on important topics, practical exercises with clinical and real micro-cases, etc., which add to the richness of the training.
This is one of the factors, together with the practical nature and the teaching based on the resolution of real problems, thanks to which the information is assimilated in a simple and effective way. Depending on the needs of each module, you will find many academic resources, as well as audiovisual content, videos, webinars, recorded MasterClasses, etc...

Coordinator: Samara Palma Milla, PhD in Medicine, Endocrinologist, working as a specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition at the Hospital Universitario la Paz.

Qualification compatible with your professional activity. You will have the possibility of enrolling in each of the modules independently.
For each module completed, you can obtain a certificate. If you take more than 15 credits you can obtain an Expert qualification, and if you take more than 30 credits you will obtain a Specialist qualification.
The possibility of taking more than one module requires a new application for a place and registration for the same module, and it is necessary to have successfully completed the module previously taken. It is not permitted to take more than one module at the same time, with the exception of students who enrol for the full Master's degree.
You can enrol for modules independently or for the entire master's degree, as long as you meet the following legal entry requirements:
The Master's Degree will be completed in June 2025.
Once the time established for the different programmes has elapsed, access will be cancelled and the resources and contents of the programmes will no longer be accessible.
