Higher Online Technician in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratories

Dual training in virtual mode:

Based on the Organic Law 3/2022 from the academic year 24-25 different significant novelties are introduced in the Vocational Training system in Spain.

• Virtual DUAL Methodology: Those students who take a distance vocational training course will concentrate the internships in a single period of 500 hours in the second year. They will be able to access them after passing 30% of the professional modules and having a favourable report from the teaching staff.

_{^{This changeover to the new Dual VET regulations (a standard version for the whole country except for the order of the modules and the teaching load set by each Autonomous Community) affects all first-year courses in any of their modalities (face-to-face or virtual) except for the Higher Cycle in Dietetics, which remains in the LOGSE training plan, prior to the current LOE*.}}

In the VET in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory, you will complete your online preparation with compulsory classroom work experience as part of the Workplace Training module (FCT). During this period you will be able to apply all the knowledge you have learnt in a real work situation. In addition, you will develop professional skills and learn first-hand about the processes that govern the working environment in the sector.

Our students will have the opportunity to carry out internships in clinical and microbiological analysis laboratories, and in research centres, to gain professional experience and applied knowledge of what they have learnt during their training.

You can access the Clinical and Bio-medical Laboratory Training Cycle online if:

• You are 18 years old or you turn 18 in the year in which the training course begins.
• You are over 16 years old and you are registered as a worker, you are a high-level sportsperson or you have an illness, physical difficulty or dependence that prevents you from attending the training cycle in person.

In addition, you must have at least one of the following academic qualifications:

• Baccalaureate (LOE or LOGSE).
• Specialist Technician or Higher Vocational Training Technician Degree.
• Intermediate Vocational Training Technician's Degree
• Training Cycle or Intermediate Degree
• University Degree
• COU or Pre-university Certificate
• Document that proves that you have passed the 2nd year of any modality of the experimental Baccalaureate.
• Certificate of successful completion of the entrance exams to higher level training cycles.

Para poder estudiar el Técnico superior en laboratorio clínico y biomédico debes tener al menos uno de los siguientes títulos académicos:

• Título de Bachiller (LOE o LOGSE)
• Título de Técnico Especialista o de Técnico Superior de Formación Profesional
• Título de Técnico de FP de Grado Medio
• Título de Ciclo Formativo o Grado Medio
• Título Universitario
• Título de superación del COU o el Preuniversitario
• Documento que pruebe que has aprobado el 2º curso de cualquier modalidad de Bachillerato experimental
• Título de superación de las pruebas de acceso a ciclos formativos de grado superior

Esta FP tiene una duración de dos años y se compone de módulos teóricos y formación práctica en centros de trabajo.
